SDN Members don't see this ad. (About Ads) I swore in for a Navy HSCP scholarship just today and begin dental school this fall. In HSCP, they pay you E-6/E-7 salary and you pay for dental school out of pocket. In going over some of the paperwork a recruiter told me that the new G.I. Bill (going into affect Aug 2009) could cover my school costs in addition to the HSCP salary that I will be recieving. He said that he doesn't know all the details yet, but that is how it appears to be. He said be sure to look into it before Aug 2009 so that I can benefit if possible. Does anyone have any further insight on this? I have no prior service, so would this still really apply to me? I am not familiar with the terms of the G.I. Bill whatsoever so any info or recommendations would help. Thanks!
