Non-participating in ERAS?

Long time lurker, first time poster here. What are your thoughts on programs that are not participating with ERAS this year? it seems there is a good number of them. Are they all just taking internal applicants mostly?? Is it worth looking into those programs? There are some good ones on the list, like UCLA, Brigham and Womens, Mt. Sinai, UT Houston... What do you guys think?

Not participating with ERAS is different from not participating in the NRMP match. ERAS is just an application service. All those you mentioned are participating in the match coming up in a few weeks.
