Number of Letters of Recommendation to send

I know some programs request 3 letters and expect to receive ONLY 3 letters from their applicants (following directions - 101). I'm having a lot of trouble finding out how many letters of rec each program wants. It's only listed on about 50% of program websites and I feel like e-mailing them to ask if they'd like 3 or 4 letters isn't the ideal way to find this information out. Has anyone found some other source that lists number of letters for each program? It isn't listed on ERAS or FREIDA, at least not where I've looked.
