Obesity/BMI and Liver Cirrhosis

is there any direct impact from obesity to liver cirrhosis?

i'm plannig to conduct a research about BMI and liver cirrhosis, do you think it's worth the time? I haven't found any latest journal about obesity/BMI and liver cirrhosis, that's why i'm still in doubt.

there are thousands of articles about obesity and cirrhosis. look at NAFLD and NASH. if your idea is "does obesity lead to cirrhosis?" then this has been done many, many times. it needs a bit more fleshing out with a novel little twist...maybe something like, does blood test X predict ESLD in obese patients? this would take years to find out though.

But thats just lipids causing cirrhosis, try to find a connection between obesity and cirrhosis in patients who dont have fatty infiltrates in their liver that would be cool.
