Hey does anyone know a list of compounds we should know the structure to? The other day on an AAMC exam, i was asked to idenitfy something that ended up being an imide.

This got me thinking, we types of compound should we know:

I will start:

hydrazone, hydrazine, carboxyls, ketones, aldehydes, alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aldol, anhydrides, imine, imide, LDA, benzenes

Yeah. That looks like a good list of compounds/functional groups that you should be able to identify.
