It never changed for me, I was invited by email and scheduled it through the portal.

I already interviewed there and my status never changed from Under Review.

A month after mail-out, I did email some of the schools that didn't send me the application complete emails. once my apps are complete/under review, I waited... But you know it is good to ask them about the status of your apps, making sure they don't get lost lol.

My application was sent out 8/21. Currently working on my masters, my DAT scores were not amazing. Have not heard from any schools, should I be worried?

mine was sent out a bit before yours. low gpa, okay DAT. no invites yet. i've already started crying.

in all seriousness though, i think it's still considered kind of early. how many schools did you apply to?

Because my DAT scores were so low I applied to 19 schools :oops:... Am I crazy or do people actually apply to that many too? Lets just say I am having cereal for breakfast lunch and dinner..LOL

If I don't hear anything my next week, I might have to join you in crying :(

i applied to 14 schools so i'm up there with you. i checked out last year's threads and many people with mail out dates close to ours didn't hear back from schools until later (late oct/nov).

I applied to 20 schools if it made you feel better. Be patient!
 
I know this is out of place in this forum but I'm writing a blog about applying to dental school for an English class I'm taking. At the moment I've only got two posts up there: one about post-bac and one about shadowing. Do any of you have any other good ideas for what I could put on there? I've got to get to 10 by the end of the semester. Also, any comments or feedback are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Application steps and timeline, DAT study, School selection, Personal Statement, Extra curricular activities... There's a ton of stuff you could put on there, just think of the steps you had to take to apply.

What was your graduate program - a post-bacc or masters program? Asking as a current applicant / college senior who feels like his GPA is his main weakness in this round of applications (3.2 and 3.1 science).

I applied to several school too to increase my chances. Do you want to apply to 12 schools and possibly not get in or do you want to apply to 19 and increase your chances?

If you applied broadly, you'll get some interviews! I pretty much bombed (D's) a quarter or two in my undergrad and schools are still giving me a chance

I'm assuming they'll get back to us via phone when they process the messages we leave. I believe that's what they told us to do on the email.

I ended up leaving Bethsave Lozano and Carol Blackburn an email. I found their addresses online. Hopefully they do call us back lol.

They told me they had one interview date in October (the one I got), and that the rest weren't until mid-November. I think I just got lucky - maybe someone called to reschedule their interview before me or something like that and the October date opened up.

I called around 8:30 AM EST and was able to talk to someone on the phone to confirm my interview date & time.

Don't worry it was actually a fun day! The interviewers are super personable and just want to get to know you. Don't be intimidated that they have a list of questions, everybody gets asked the same ones. Just answer honestly!

Sorry I was too happy and messed up. It is today, I corrected it. 10/13 is my interview date.
I wonder if they have any kind of test beside personal interview. If I got the interview, is my rate become 50/50 ???

Your rate is 1/3, all texas schools interview around 300 people and accept 100.

I really hope I get my Houston interview today as well. I'm dreading the silence!!! My stats are very similar to yours.
