As an applicant for the upcoming cycle, that really puts it into quite a perspective of how competitive the process is. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your acceptances!
I need to apply to 40+ schools, any tips/advice on how you turned around secondary applications in a efficient manner? You can PM if you wish.

You don't need to apply to 40 schools, keep in mind that I had low Mcat and applied to most schools in the end of August and to another dozen in the beginning of October. If you can follow everyone's advice of applying early and taking your Mcat early. Also I tried returning my secondaries within a week or 2, you could start preparing now for answers similar to last years questions, they usually don't change too dramatically. Good luck!!!

Applied: 23 MD, 8 DO
II: 3 MD, 4 DO (went to 3 MD, 1 DO)
Accepted: 3 MD (including full tuition scholarship), 1 DO

Result: freaking stoked for August.

3 withdrawals
16 rejections

I'm waitlisted at my top choice, which I'd attend 100% if I'm accepted regardless of financial aid status. That's the last thing I'm waiting on for this cycle, and an acceptance would be the best birthday gift from Pittsburgh!

LizzyM 67-68 non-trad KY resident: decent amount of research and a lot of clinical work experience however not much volunteering.

Applied to 16 MD schools.
4 II offered, 3 II attended, 3 acceptances

It can be done! Apply early! Apply to your state schools and any other school you have strong ties to. Best of luck to everyone!
