Hey guys! I'm applying from the peds side. Adding Vanderbilt, UNC, UTSW, Boston Children's and Stanford to the list. Anyone heard from Colorado Children's or know if National Jewish sends out additional rounds of invites?

Ha! Slowing down? It's kind of hard to appreciate how slow when your perspective is from riding on the back of a snail in this race :arghh:. As someone from another post mentioned, it only takes one interview at the right place...;)

UCLA (peds) sent out invite to interview/phone conversation with their PD last Thursday 8/18. I sent a message to UCSF and they said that they have not sent out invites yet and are planning on doing so by the end of this week. Brigham and Women's also sent a second set of invites for phone chat on 8/18. Also heard from UTMB last week.

I've gotten the following (AMG)
UCSD
UCI
Buffalo
Rochester
University of South Florida
Montefiore (adult and peds)

priors I posted earlier and are already on the list. I hear interviews have already started. Mine are starting next week. Will be posting all the "weird" questions that I can remember.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

Invite from Mayo Clinic today !
Have people started interviewing? It seems there is still a good number of programs that have not sent out IVs yet.
Maybe I'm wrong!

Has anyone gotten an invite from MCW??? Really hoping for a chance there but I haven't heard a thing. I'm just too nervous to call or email them to find out, maybe they just don't want me :(

Not sure if anyone's received an invite from MCW yet, but a friend of mine is a fellow there and told me they didn't get around to offering interviews until September last year. That appears to be what it looks like from last year's thread as well.

I heard from Penn State several weeks ago. They use MyEras and it looks like they've filled all of their interview spots at this time.

Northwestern (peds) and Kaiser LA last week. Anyone heard from Colorado childrens?

It seems that the invites are still coming in, I got Colorado (National Jewish) today and UC Irvine on 8/30, both IM, I believe both programs sent out some invites earlier.

Is anyone familiar with UC Irvine program? Their website says they take up to 3 fellows per year, but the number of faculty seems low in relation to that. Research opportunities are also hard to gauge.

Hey, so I already interviewed at UCI. They have 3 fellows total (over 2 years). Last year was just 1 fellow. This year, they will be accepting 2 fellows. It is a relatively small program but sounds good. Their program director will likely retire in the next 2-4 years so that is the only thing that may change but who knows. Looked like a great program overall. Fellows were all very nice.

Has anyone heard from Yale?

Are interviews pretty much done being sent out? Are there any programs that you guys have contacted that haven't sent out invites.

Yale said they are done sending out invites.

Anyone interview at USC yet? Kind of hard finding any info on USC.

I was just about to ask about USC too! ... I scheduled on the ERAS scheduler but then never heard back, no confirmation, no interview schedule....

Ok. To those whom just interviewed at USC today. I know you are out there . When did you get/or did you get any info regarding logistics and confirmation of interview? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

When should one expect an itinerary? I have an interview in about a weeks time and I am yet to get an itinerary. Is it in anyway a reflection of the program's interest in me?!

Some programs sent it ahead of time, some a day before the interviews and one even did not bother to send it until I specifically asked for it.
It is not a reflection of the program's interest at all!

Any thoughts on USF/All Children's Program in Tampa not a ton of updated information on their website and wanting some feedback from anyone who has interviewed there. Reply or message me plz!

Any feedback on other places too, what did y'all think so far?

Unfortunately I didn't interview at USF so can't say much. :( See below for my thoughts on the programs I interviewed at

Great (very nice people, great balanced training, well known faculty)
-Univ of Wisconsin (very cold in Winter though)
-Mayo clinic (small city though)
-UW, Seattle
-WASHU, St Louis
-Montefiore-Peds(small faculty though)
-UPENN (small faculty though)

Okay
-Brigham (research interests too narrow)
-Mass general (huge focus on basic science)
-Northwestern
-Baylor
-Columbia (sandwiched within larger pulm dept)

Lemme know what you guys think

Hey guys I'm an IMG needing a visa , currently a 2nd year Med resident in a mid tier university program that doesn't have an allergy fellowship. Just wondering how much research you guys have in allergy itself ? We don't have a fellowship so research in allergy is hard to find. I have a couple case reports and prob will have a research project when I do apply but I don't think I'll have any publications. My backup plan is to do a chief year and have more exposure / research under my belt! What do you think ?

Probably you should do your best and believe in yourself and go ahead and apply. If you don't believe in yourself and try then for certain you will not get it. If you show genuine interest and passion and hard work then you should have a great match

 I concur with above. Show genuine interest and be active in the field. There are so many dishonest applicants out there (not just for A/I) that they will pick up on someone who is genuinely interested in the field. Best of luck to you.

Interviews are over for me . Glad to stay put for awhile :) How about y'all?
