sooooooooo any advice on which school I should pick? His GPA is 3.38, which is far from impressive. Also, he lives in Cali, so state schools are out of his reach with his academics.

Congrats!

According to Facebook page, there was movement on UF 's waitlist earlier this week. Good luck!Legit pissed about LECOM. I'm on the waitlist, and every time I call asking, they tell me there are still seats open. That's really cute and all... but I need to decide a personal decision about what I'm doing next year and the deadline is NEXT FRIDAY. I'd rather be rejected (much rather be accepted) than stay on the waitlist and not know if I'll regret making the final decision by next Friday and being accepted afterwards. I'm also on UF's waitlist... but gave up hope on that one.
I had 200 hours of shadowing by the time I applied from my family dentist. I think my interviews stemmed from awesome letters of rec. I did undergrad history research with a professor who was recognized by Obama two years ago.Did you have a bunch of volunteering hours and shadowing?
It's awesome to see you got a bunch of interviews from schools I'm interested in so I'm just trying to get an idea of my chances. thanks!
So I know its late but I thought i'd chime in because I applied very late(don't do this), with average stats and wasn't expecting to hear back from anywhere. So maybe this will give someone hope for next cycle!

Hey man what made you choose Meharry over Iowa and Case Western?I'm starting my first week of dental school in just 8 days!

Already on the 2nd week of mine. We have our first test in a week.
Crazy. I have a final exam this week for A&P2 and the University of Washington just had their graduation yesterday. Why do some schools start so early?
Crazy. I have a final exam this week for A&P2 and the University of Washington just had their graduation yesterday. Why do some schools start so early?
2 Main Reasons.
1. Location. I thought Iowa was too far from home and a bit too plain. Case Western was also too far from home and I felt unsafe in a city that big. I adored Nashville and found it to be similar to where I'm from.
2. But lets be real here, money was the biggest deciding factor. I received a private scholarship from the school for my first year. Factor in the amount of money I'm saving by not buying airflights tickets home when I can drive within a day, lower cost of living, and I've already saved tens of thousands of dollars.
