Confused by post dated schools., esp Baylor who had already started sending II's in July. I thought this was a "as it happens" list. Wrong?
1) Click "quote" on the most recent post (don't copy and paste!).
2) Add the school's name in by date, if your school is already listed then add in your interview invite date to that line.
3) Delete the quote tags at both the top and the bottom.

How are people adding days in the future?

I think it is more just so you know that interviews have started going out at a specific school If you want to know more info then this can serve as a time line of yeah I should go look at the school specific thread, and look at August 2nd when the first person got an interview (they usually post it in there too.)Just an idea, would it be useful to include complete date for each interview as well?
I'm sure people would be less likely to fill it out, but I feel like a Rejection List (with complete date/rejection date) would be equally helpful.
Some schools screen heavily, some screen lightly, and some send secondaries to everyone. It really depends on the schools; your best bet is to check either the MSAR (if you have it) or to check specific admissions pages for more information.Do all the schools that you apply to via AMCAS send secondaries? Or just some...?

No. Many people don't have any. It is still VERY early.Should I be worried I havent received an interview yet? or is it too early for that still? Is it that only the most stellar applicants are receiving them or something so far? I had a 38 MCAT and 3.54 gpa, to name two of my stats. and lots of clinical experinece... I'm freaking out!
Yes. Look at who are getting offered interviews at Pitt and UVa. The samples are well over the school's average stats. If a school does offer you an early interview what exactly does that mean? Do schools offer interviews in order of how competitive a candidate is? Or does the timing of the invite not matter. Assuming one submitted their secondary some time in July.

It depends on the school. It seems quite true for the schools I mentioned. It's definitely not absolute.I honestly don't know if that's entirely true. I have a 29 MCAT and holding 5 II.... With my GPA median to above most schools and MCAT in the 10th percentile.
I'm beginning to think more and more the holistic fit approach is true.

Very true. I'm sure Ivy League and top 20 would follow your suit to the T
I have one Ivy and one top 20 invite, without a stellar MCAT score. I'm near the 10th percentile for my top 20, anyway. I wish I had more insight into why! I think that fit is a big part of it at my schools also -- EC involvement and/or letters may be a factor too. Regardless, I'm trying to just be excited without overanalysing (though it's not always easy to avoid thinking about why things are shaking out how they are!)
