Old DO student applying for ACGME family medicine programs - need advice

I thought Ft. Wayne Medical Education program in Ft. Wayne, IN had good training, more than adequate for just about anyone. They seem like they have to recruit people to go there so if think they'd probably be happy to take a look at your app. And no, I'm not bagging on you and your accomplishments, just commenting that it's a program with above average training opportunities that doesn't seem very competitive at all.

Also, they're dual-accredited.
 
I think you'd be fine matching into fm in Midwest. While on the interview trail you could ask how many of their current residents are non traditional if you feel you would fit in better at a place with residents more your age.

If you are from an American med school (md or do) have no board failures and no class failures you are fine. When you deviate from these you start to get looked over for interviews.
