The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center has had an unexpected vacancy for a PGY2 position. UCMC offers a fully accredited program in combined anatomic and clinical pathology. As a resident in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, you become a member of a program which has a long and rich tradition in teaching, research and service. The goal of the residency program is to educate residents to become competent in the field of anatomic and clinical pathology and to function either in an academic or a community setting. We promote excellence through teaching and practice in accordance with the ACGME-approved guidelines leading to board eligibility. We teach relevant, meaningful and well-defined up-to-date clinical science as it applies to current trends in patient care. To learn more about our program visit our web site: http://pathology.uc.edu/Education/Residency.aspx.
The program will accept a PGY2 from either a AP/CP combined program, or a PGY2 AP only program. The candidate must have completed a PGY1 year in pathology. Please email your interest as well as 3 LORs, Dean's Letter/ MSPE, Medical School transcripts, CV and exam scores. Applicants must have passed all USMLE/COMLEX steps. ECFMG certification if required for all applicants. We can only sponsor J1 visas. If you have any questions, please contact Jessica Sloniker at pathology.uc.edu
