Seeking PGY-4 internal medicine chief resident for 2015-2016

The Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is a 325 bed academic tertiary care center affiliated with Tufts Medical School. The hospital is in suburban Boston, and is the flagship hospital for Lahey Health, a rapidly growing health system in eastern Massachusetts.

Our residency program has 42 residents – 12 categorical in each year, plus six preliminary interns. We have 2 chief residents as well who are credentialed as attendings or fellows (should they have a J-1 visa), and play an integral role in the program’s academic program, including running AM report, mentoring residents, and assisting the program director administratively with conference scheduling, quality improvement, resident evaluation and feedback, and recruitment. 40% of the chiefs’ time is spent providing direct patient care or precepting. Options include a combined general internist year doing inpatient and outpatient work, or straight inpatient work. Inpatient work is not available to chiefs with J-1 visas.

The salary is $100,000.

Further information about our residency program may be found athttp://www.lahey.org/internalmedicineresidency/or email me directly at [email protected]
