Why do a bunch of optometrists work together in one clinic? The town I'm from, one clinic will have like 5 different doctors...
How do they even get booked up with patients when you have so many other doctors?

Not sure if this is a serious question or not.

Group practice allows for sharing of overhead, coverage during vacations, pooled resources allows for purchasing advanced technology, can afford larger frame inventories, sharing on-call schedule, in office consulting on difficult cases, sharing of admin duties, less direct competition, easier to take time off, & I could go on & on.......

Year after year, OD's in group private practices have the highest average income and job satisfaction.

Does that answer your question?

I work in one. There's a snowball effect where the three other opticals in a two block radius are dry and ours is ridiculously busy.
