Organizing an event for charity

I am on the exec board for organizing a large event. It is a dance competition that attracts about 2,500 people and collects a profit of around $15,000. This money is donated to a local nonprofit that promotes the health and well-being of children in less-fortunate families and finds homes for orphaned children.

I just want to say I am excited about being a part of the event by helping organize it, and being able to help the community so much. However, that pre-med bug is lodged in the back of my brain, and I have to ask; can the hours I put into organizing this event, which are a lot, be counted as non-clinical volunteering? That is a weak spot on my app so...
