I know this has been discussed before, but I was wondering if anyone had any updated information or reviews. I just spoke to them on the phone and was told that for $1,060 you receive 2 half-hour public sessions (where you are examined) and then get to listen to others being examined the rest of the time. You can purchase additional half-hour sessions for $125 if public, $165 if private.

Any personal reviews, particurly if from the past year or 2 would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I took it in 2012 and it was worth the money. Particularly valuable if you residency does not do mock orals.

Personally found study groups with GoToMeeting more vaulable than mock orals at Osler. If you don't have that option, then Osler is better than nothing. It is imperative that a component of a "mock oral" prep be done IMO for the oral boards, not just "book/self-study" prep.

Agree with medgator..I did it in 2013 and thought is was just ok.

On the plus side, I was completely sick of studying and my group had really exhausted our materials and cases by then. So to sit in a room and just listen to other people go through cases was kind of good timing to just be passive. I ended up only attending maybe 50% of it because some of the examiners were not great and it felt like a waste of time.

My job paid for it..in hindsight, if I wasn't paying for it..sure, why not do it. But if you're forking over the dough, I'd take a pass personally.
