Current OT students,

Are there any supplies or tools you bought for OT school that are helpful?

Where do you buy supplies? Online?

Get Gonis from Amazon. Get the big gait belt.

If you are lucky (!?) enough to attend a program that has gross anatomy, buy the appropriate set of anatomy flash cards for the atlas you will be using. Each person in my study group bought a set and everyone said it was very useful. Alternatively, you can buy an app such as Essential Anatomy if you have a tablet.

Also, find someone who has a membership at Costco or Sam's Club if you need to buy non-latex gloves - probably much cheaper than the campus bookstore.

If you're someone who likes to color-coordinate things and draw diagrams, I'd suggest getting a notebook-sized sketchbook and a set of fine, felt-tip markers. Drawing things (and even just tracing my laptop screen) has helped me a lot in anatomy!
