Information & Requirements: PSYCHOLOGIST
The Pain Institute at Shepherd Center provides multidisciplinary pain management services for individuals with catastrophic injuries, neurologic, musculo-skeletal and degenerative disease. Our focus is on restoring function, improving quality of life, and reducing dependence on medications, while enhancing psychological well-being and independence.
A licensed Psychologist is needed to provide comprehensive pain assessment and treatment for both inpatient and outpatient services. Experience in pain management and familiarity in working in a health care setting is preferred. Duties include diagnostic evaluations, presurgical psychological screening, individual, group and family counseling. In addition to providing clinical services, this individual will work closely with a rehabilitation treatment team and collaborate on treatment planning, provide education to the team/clients, and assist with program development. Salary and benefits are highly competitive. Position available immediately.
Qualifications: Must be graduate of an APA-approved program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology with minimum of postdoctoral fellowship in health psychology or 2 years clinical experience in behavioral medicine focused on pain management; State of Georgia licensed psychologist.
