I saw this article in wsj about a push to reword radiology reports so they are written with less cryptic language that only other docs understand.

I think pathology reports are even more cryptic and sometimes written with language that only other pathologists can understand and perhaps a handful of subspecialty physicians.
In this era of increased transparency in medicine and increased access to results and records by patients it will be interesting to see if pathologists follow the lead of radiology.
