Per Diem Hospice Care

I'm posting to inquire about part-time Hospice On-Call work. I'm a full time hospitalist, but for a multitude of reasons I want to get involved in part-time per diem Hospice work and I'm wondering what people's experiences have been like.

Is is satisfying? Are they many home phone calls? what is the expected salary like for a "on-call" physician taking 24-hour calls?
