Hello Everyone!

To make it simple, I need advice. I JUST started my first crown patient for a PFM crown. So, she is my first patient after spending the year before, working on acrylic teeth and an artificial cast. I was nothing but a pool of Adrenaline! Can any of the experienced doctors tell me how to avoid overconvergence and such errors?

And how to guarantee a successful prep that would live?

PS: Am from Egypt and dental school here isn't like in Europe.

Thanks in advance

1) make Initial depth marks
2) Do the reduction
3) do the margin
4) Lastly, I like to run my handpiece in one circular motion around and around the prep. This way I know I have a smooth prep with no ledges and such.

Practice makes perfect my friend
