Dear All:

Looking for answers to the following two questions:
  1. What percent of retail pharmacy inventory is oral solid dosage form (tablets and capsules), topical dosage form and liquids?
  2. In general, a retails pharmacy has how many drugs (NDCs)?
Any response would be greatly appreciated. Please include the reference, if known.

Thank you

Percentage by dollar value, number of packages, or what?

By number of drugs (or NDCs - i.e., redundancy of a drug is OK ). For example, out "100" total items in a pharmacy "65" are tables or capsules.
Any additional info will be great.

Thank you.

Thank you so much for the response. May I ask how many total items are there in your pharmacy? Around 2000?
