Hi everyone,
My name is Mandy, a research assistant from the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). At the moment, I'm currently involved with a study where we're doing a survey on how we can reduce suicide rates in primary care settings. According to the CDC, suicide rates in America are steadily increasing, becoming even higher than the rates of homicide. In fact, suicide is now the 10th leading cause of death, surpassing chronic liver disease. So how can we, as future healthcare providers, reduce these statistics?
To further understand more about this issue, we're doing a national survey, reaching out to physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in the United States. If you are one (or know of any) it'll be great if you can help us fill out this 5-10 min survey! Please support by sharing this link around too!
Here is the link to this survey: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/1607736/PCP-Perceptions-in-Clinical-Care
The IRB is #13-1268.
With much appreciation,
Mandy
