Hi. I'm deciding whether I want to take the MCAT before I take Physics II. Does anyone know what textbooks are generally assigned for Phys II? I used Matter and Interactions Vol. 1 for Physics I. Vol. 2 is E and M, but I wasn't a big fan of the style. Are there any other good ones that cover the MCAT scope? I didn't see too much about specific textbooks on the threads I looked at.

I'd like to see what material is covered, example problems, etc. If I decide to self-study Phys II, than I also want to do it from a textbook and not an MCAT review book.

Thanks!

My university used physics volume II by walker. I would recommend taking physics 2 first, but if you really don't want to that book will help. Really focus on learning electric fields forces and electromagnetism. Electricity and Circuit elements and then optics and light. There is no need for relativity on mcat which that book goes through.
