I think this sounds correct. What I might do is add an addendum to your PS that explains the situation.
However, do not underestimate how long it can take to get conditional permanent residency after marrying a US citizen. I had an intern last year that planned to start internship after marrying a US citizen. She started over 6 months late due to delays, took more than 9 months to get the process completed.
