With the rising number of police using body cameras, has anyone heard of or encountered any cases where this has been a problem with HIPAA or used in a lawsuit, etc when patients are brought in or held?

Thoughts?

In my experience, people in the ED who the police are involved with are extremely unlikely to be able to put it together enough to get an attorney to take their case against a physician or hospital.

Doesn't matter. You're not recording it or releasing it. A third party recording it isn't your fault. Let the police/state/gestapo worry about it.
Besides, you want those guys recording if the **** hits the fan. Trust me.
