Has anyone received any interviews coming off of a pre-interview Hold list? I am really curious about this as I think it is a way of schools prolonging the rejection letter that will probably be written. Basically they are saying , "You are good enough to be here, but we want someone a little better if we can get them."

So what do you guys think of this? I'd say there's a slim chance of being interviewed at GW and Penn state at this point...not to be pessimistic or anything :wink:

We're such a small number of people and GW has 8 on hold! They must have hundreds of people on hold, as well as penn state.

Well good luck everyone, hopefully in August we will have interviewed with these schools and the thread will say zero.

I'm at hold at GW too, I would have to agree that my chance for an interview there is pretty dismal at this point will 11 on hold just from this site! How did you hear about Loyola nypostbac? just curious since it is the only school I haven't heard ANYTHING from!

Adding Loyola--I found out by phone when I called to check my status (I don't know if they would've told me otherwise). I was told that I was being held till January, but since it's now February and I've heard nothing, I've kinda just written them off. Funny thing is, it was one of my "back ups" (if there is such a thing) and I got immediate interviews at my three top choices (I finished 6 apps).

that was how long I have been on hold. (one and two months, respectively). I was never on hold at Penn state, but found out about the interview about a month ago. They only have spots for march and for what I am told, they are all filled up, but I could be wrong.
