I'm applying a competitive specialty which requires pre-lim or TY year.

My question:
only 1/4 for said competetive specialty LORs are in.

2/2 LORs from 1 IM dr and 1 Rads dr are in

For my pre-lim or TY programs I assigned the 2/2 LORs and not the 1/4 specialty LOR b/c the 1/4 specialty LOR I'm afraid is a generic template from a big wig. I feel the other 3/4 I'm waiting on may be way better. Should I assign that 1/4 to the pre-lim/TY programs in the meantime? I dont want to delay my app too long, especially for competetive TYs, but then again I'm just not-sure how strong that LOR is. Anyone have any thoughts?

I don't have specific advice, but letters are MUCH more important during the interview phase than the initial application review phase. I would get that application in ASAP.
