Pre-med international student queries

Just curious of the US pre-medical system,as I am a non-Canadian international residing in the Asian countries,planning to consider graduate medicine,especially in Washington..

Is the US pre-medical system similar to biomedical sciences in Australia/UK?
Does the US pre-medical system grant an undergraduate degree?
Is it possible to apply to medicine in other countries such as Australia/UK with pre-medical route,considering that one fails to enter into US universities?
Does some US medical universities recognise a specific pre-medical route from several universities or are pre-med programmes generally recognised throughout the US medical universities?

Premed is an arbitrary thing. Very few medical schools in US will accept foreign coursework as satisfying their admission requirements and of those who do, they would usually accept Canadian classes only.
