Hi everyone -

I'm looking to become a phlebotomist so I can get my HCE hours completed. By the time I apply, I plan to have between 2,000-3,000 hours of paid patient contact as a phlebotomist (not applying for a few years). Additionally, I'll have around 200 hours of shadowing. Is phlebotomy a good route for patient contact? What about physical therapy aide?

Hello, Phlebotomy is good...so is PT aide. Anything where you are having direct patient care hours that are paid is fine. I am a PT aide and have about 2000 hours from that and will be attending PA school this fall. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have anymore questions!
