Where can I find information on programs that offer preliminary years?

check there. Look anywhere you're interested in. Most programs have prelim years. On FREIDA you may see something like:

PGY 1 20
PGY 2 14
PGY 3 14

meaning they have 6 prelim spots.

Also when you sign up for ERAS, programs will be listed.

I'll be starting med school this fall. I've noticed preliminary year listing on the match list at some schools. What are they and why would someone choose this?
