Passage 37 is about experiments done to a squid axon. Question 5 asks "Each of the following conclusions can be drawn from the experiment except" and I circled B) The plasma membrane of an exon at rest is permeable to K+. I chose this answer because the experiment does not say anything about potassium leak channels. Am I missing something?

From my understanding of the axons, there are always leak channels present. So even if the passage didn't mention anything about it, we can use outside knowledge to eliminate B (since the question is asking for the false statement).

PS: I don't have that book so I can't read the passage or the rest of the answer choices. But I'm assuming the passage tells us that the squid axon works just like a human axon.
