New resident here. Told we need to join the American Board of Radiology. How do we go about joining this professional society, and what other organizations should new residents be signing up for?

Your residency coordinator should be able to help you register with the ABR.

You should definitely join ASTRO and should consider joining ASCO, RSNA, ABS (all free for residents).

ACRO is a great organization and free to residents. Also the annual meeting is fairly inexpensive compared to ASTRO and I feel that ACRO is a much more intimate networking opportunity.
