Hi! I would appreciate your specialist input on my patient... recently diagnosed a 70M w/ his first episode of acute bacterial prostatitis. We are doing 3 wks of cipro... at what point would you guys like to see him, while he is still taking abx or after he has completed the course? Also, what are your thoughts on a 3 wk course, I just finished listening to a lecture by a urologist saying 10days to 2 wks for first time prostatitis, however uptodate recommends 6 weeks. Thank you for your input
