Provisional Accreditation and Probation

I was doing some research and found one program I have applied to is on Continued Provisional Accreditation -- does anyone know what this means? Has the program not been around long enough, or is this some kind of probationary status?

Separately, I also found out that the Georgetown Pediatrics program is on probation. I was surprised, as I consider Georgetown a good hospital. Does anyone know what the deficiencies noted by the ACGME were and what Georgetown has done to remedy this?

It is my understanding the hospital has had problems and was sold to a private hospital corporation.Other depts including Dermatology have had problems.Speak to people who have recently trained at the program to find out the real situation.
