I was chosen for a spot at a small hospital for a summer early clinical exposure program, so I will be spending 5 weeks there doing "rotations" of my choice. I'm curious to hear from anyone who did something like prior to the actual clerkships. Any suggestions as to how to get the best exposure and experience out of this? I'd like to get the most out of it while (hopefully) narrowing my choices of specialties. I realize this may just be a more structured form of shadowing, however, I'm hoping that I'll gain some confidence and experience before I am actually being evaluated during 3rd year!
