Can anyone tell me how many credit hours you take at San Antonio? I qualify for the Hazelwood Act that pays tuition for up to 150 hours of tuition at any Texas state school, but no one at UTSA can tell me how many credit hours are taken each term. I want to be sure that I'm covered for all 4 years...

Thanks!

Is this for undergrad (UTSA) or for dental school (UTHSCSA)? If you're trying to find out about undergrad then you'd have bettter luck in a different forum I think.

and they weren't able to help you at the school? If you go on the website and look at the curriculum/schedules for current dstudents at UTHSCSA...it tells you how many hours per semester.

http://dental.uthscsa.edu/educprograms/dds_curriculum.php

Hours/year

DS 1: 53.5
DS 2: 56.5
DS 3: 49.5
DS 4: 38.0

total: 197.5
197.5 - 150 = 47.5

Hopefully this helps

Thanks! This is a huge help. I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone on the phone and every email I send gets forwarded to some veterans affair department where they don't know any specifics about the dental school. Looks like they cover about 3/4 of tuition...not too shabby!
