what is the main difference between them? What would be an evolutionary advancement of an arthropod over an annelid?

I know that the annelid has a closed circulator system and arthropod has open, but how is having an open CC advantageous?

I don't know how having closed or open circulatoy systems is an advantage.

The biggest andvantage I think is that arthopods have is they have tagmosis. They have specialized/modified segments.

Arthropods also have jointed appendages

Thats all I rember from BIO II

I think the main evolutionary advancement of arthropods are joint appendages. You should remember that arthropods include insects, arachnids, and crustaceans. Their excretory system utilizes malpighian tubules, while annelids use nephridia.

As for the open circulatory system, I don't quite know how the open circulatory system is evolutionary advantageous. Hopefully someone else can shed some light on that subject.
