If you have a child patient who is mentally ******ed and comes to your clinic with his mother. The mother wants to replace his fillings but the patient disapproves, what do you do?

any help would be appreciated.

i really dont know if this is a serious question or not... do the fillings need to be replaced? you make that decision, not the mother or the child. if they're fine, then i wouldnt' touch anything. if they need to be replaced, then you need to replace them. if the kid is un-cooperative, then you may need to send him/her to the specialist to be sedated. most kids (mentally ill or not), are not going to approve of you doing dentistry on them..

in my opinion if mother wants to replace you should replace it. i think according to the dental ethics if child under 18 years comes to your office the parents make a decision and you just follows it. correct me if i wrong
