Hi all, I just finished undergrad at Brown University with a very low gpa of around 2.8. This is for sure not going to get me into any med school so I am looking to do a SMP or Post-Bacc.

However most of these programs require a 3.0 minimum to even apply. I plan to take courses at my local university UBC. Will these classes actually count and bring my average GPA up? When program admissions look at my transcript, will they only look at my Brown transcript and not UBC ones?

I've done a lot of research on different SMPs and Post-Baccs and cannot find any that requires less than 3.0. If anyone knows of any please let me know!

Also, since my citizenship is Canadian, will this be a problem when applying to these programs?

Otherwise, what other options and suggestions do I have to go on with the next step? (Please don't tell me to give up on being a doctor).

And yes, I definitely am open to D.O. and Carribean Med Schools

Thank you all for your help!
