So which of the two hypothalamic nuclei (paraventricular and supraoptic) produce oxytocin versus ADH? Do they BOTH produce BOTH, or is it divided?

Thanks!!

Thanks, all!! :) Some more contemporary sources (including Wikipedia:oops:) say that neurons in both can make both, but for the boards I'll stick with supraoptic-->ADH and paravent-->oxytocin

its the supraoptic region in which the paraventicular nucleaus is located. Neurosecrectory cells of paraventricular nuclei synthesize adh and oxytocin
