The Chicago International Breast Course and The Society for the Advancement of Women's Imaging program is designed to provide radiologists and other breast and women's imaging health care professionals with advances in the detection, diagnosis, management and treatment of breast cancer and benign breast abnormalities. Focus will be on the impact of new technological advances and interventional procedures.

Target Audience for Radiology Board Exam Preparation

Learning Objectives for the Radiology Board Exam
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
Correlate MRI, mammography and ultrasound findings. Assess benign and malignant breast lesions using the ACR BI-RADS® for mammography, US and MRI. Integrate breast MRI into their practices. Recognize indications for and selection of appropriate percutaneous image-guided breast interventional procedures. Utilize devices for MRI-guided and other image-guided procedures. Explain the role of automated breast ultrasound. Establish concordance of histopathology with imaging findings. Describe the management of high-risk breast lesions and how imaging influences selection of surgical procedures. Apply basic physics to the various breast imaging modalities. Recognize radiation doses of common X-ray examinations including mammography, PET, nuclear medicine, and high-resolution CT scans. Optimize new applications of digital mammography, CAD, US, MRI, Sestamibi and PET. Describe efficient workflow for digital mammography.

Accreditation
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the Institute for Advanced Medical Education and the Society for the Advancement of Women's Imaging. The Institute for Advanced Medical Education is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
