Hi, Im applying to radiology this year. I think its the most interesting field for me for sure.
I was wondering if anybody could fill me in on several aspects that we don't see in our rotations.
What is private practice like? Always hear its very different than academic radiology.
Do you have a choice of how much you read vs pay?
Is it true the major cities are saturated? especially california/Los angeles/NY, and if so, is teleradiology an alternative to remaining in a place you want to live?
What are the downsides of teleradiology in general?
Where do you see the field in 7-10 years? I'm sure pay will take a significant cut, but how much do you see it declining? I'm entering the field because I enjoy it not because of the other benefits, but it doesn't hurt to be an informed person
I know its a lot, but if you can answer any of the questions it would be much appreciated
