Radiology needs workforce analysis like this

I keep hearing and reading about the woes of newly minted radiologists. I think many are saying a real analysis of the workforce and training programs role in supply needs to be undertaken.

American Society of Nephrology just published part 1 of their workforce analysis project and it's quite comprehensive and telling. Just take a look at the exec summary. They even call out the possible need for cutting fellowship positions to ease supply. Maybe you folks should bring this methodology to your ACR leadership and tell them to spend your dues on it...

FWIW...
changes in # of graduates from 2007 to 2013:

Nephrology: 398 to 452 (14% increase)
Radiology: 1,062 to 1,144 (8% increase)
