Recording EC and Volunteer Hours

Does the AAMC application or any secondary application ask specifically for the amount of hours spent on certain volunteer, research or other extra-curricular activities?

Most people on this forum list their experience in hours, and I was just wondering what the actual format is for reporting this on the applications.

I believe AMCAS asks for how many hours per unit of time you spent on it, and you also list dates, so basically it gives the adcoms a way to total up the hours.
