Req. texas gov courses.

School has a 3 semester first year, third semester is tex gov/fed gov. (3 cr) Has anyone moved those around and take them first and second semester? It would be 17 credits if I could swing that, Ive read history books for leisure for as long as i can remember, but don't know tex gov to well, and haven't been in a school setting for a while. So it may be to much, but could use the time I'd save for off campus work. Any thoughts on the classes?
