I'm currently applying (MD only) and have always been interested in research. I'm in it now and plan to be in the future, clinically speaking. I know that medical schools have many research opportunities but I'm a little fuzzy on what they might be. Could someone generalize for me whether it's wet lab work, clinical research or any other/combination of those?

At most MD schools, bench lab work, clinical work, and translational work are all available.
