Under the "Experience" tab of your ERAS application, what should you put under "Position" for your research experiences? I was told by an attending that you should only use "Research Assistant" if it was a paid position, as in an actual job, but I am unsure of what to put if it is a research project/paper you are working on in your spare-time? Right now I have "Research Volunteer" but wanted to get someone else's thoughts on this. Any ideas? Thanks.

Small details like this do not matter. PD's will be more interested in what you actually did. Be clear about your role in the project.
