So I am a residential assistant at my university and have been for two years. I was wondering if ADCOMs really understand and take into consideration the amount of time and dedication put into this role? I know personally that my ECs are not as numerically strong as a lot of people but being an RA has taught me a lot about understanding people, and it has made me lose a lot of time with other EC opportunities. I put in probably 40 hours a week being an RA, dealing with people and their drunken state, roommate issues, etc. on the norm. Do ADCOMs know all this? Haha

When you enter it as an activity you have to list the number of hours worked, so they'll definitely know that.
Since every adcom member was a freshman in college at one point, I'm sure they're also aware of the less glamorous aspects of being an RA.
