I know that it depends on the school whether or not to take the new grade as is, or to combine the new and old grades. I'm sure there have been some people here that have emailed many of these colleges. I don't want to go and email all of them.

Does anyone here know which colleges around CA will combine the grades or accepts the new as is?

I think Western will just count the most recent grade and NOT the average... not a 100% sure... this is what it says on their website;

"If you had a low grade, especially in a prerequisite course, you should consider retaking that class, since we will recalculate your GPA with the new higher grade when we receive the new transcript."

its a little ambiguous...
